Introduced 6/4/75 Passed 10/75 PL 13-76 THIRTEENTH GUAM LEGISLATURE Bill No. 385 AN ACT TO ADD SECTIONS 11120.1, 11120.2, 11120.2 AND 11120.3 THE GOVERNMENT CODE TO PROVIDE FOR A PROGRAM OF STUDIES FOR GIFTED AND TALENTED STUDIES AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
Section 1: Sections 11120, 11120.1, 11120.2 and 11120.3 are added to the Government Code to read: "Section 11120 - The Board of Education shall develop a program of studies that will provide for the development of the unusual and special abilities of the gifted student enrolled in the schools of Guam. For the purpose of this Act, "gifted students" shall mean students who exhibit leadership ability, artistic talent, creativity, outstanding academic ability and high intelligence. Section 11120.1 - The Board shall cause to be conducted an assessment to identify gifted students within gifted students within the schools of Guam. Section 11120.2 - The Board shall cause to be conducted a periodic assessment of the students in the gifted students program and results of said assessment are to be used to determine whether the program be modified. Section 11120.3 - The Board shall provide for in-service training for teachers necessary to conduct the program established by Section 11120 |
